Prison Break Season 4 Episode 21/22: Rate of Exchange/Killing Your Number, S04E21/22 RecapMay 21, 2009 by Prison Break Blog | No comments
Last week, Christina proved she was a terrible mother by shooting Lincoln in the stomach. Needless to say, Michael was not very happy. So he called her up, and told her he’d give her Scylla as long as Lincoln was taken care of.
The General was busy telling Sara how much has changed just because she left the infirmary door open in season 1. How does he know about that? When the General asked T-Bag to escort Sara out, T-Bag shuffled up to her and asked her to grab his pocket. Nice, two season 1 references in the first five minutes. In Chicago, we see Sucre being followed by someone unseen. Perhaps C-Note?
When Christina arrived to meet Michael, she mentioned to her henchman to kill him after she gets Scylla. Because a man reported Michael earlier, the cops began to show up, and before he could blow his mom to smithereens, her henchman went after him, taking Christina’s place in death.
In a diner, we see that it is in fact C-Note! I was hoping we’d see him again ever since he left late season 2. When he started asking about where Michael and Lincoln were, Sucre automatically thought C-Note was working for the feds. Though C-Note told Sucre to calm down, they were on the same side.
At the hospital, Self was being interrogated by a few agents. He gave in when they put pressure on one of his broken bones. Michael then got called by first the General, then his mother. On one side if he gave Scylla to the General, his brother dies. On the other hand, if he handed it to Christina, the mother of his child dies. After Christina called him, Michael spoke to Lincoln who spilled the news that he’s going to be a daddy.
Alex then asked Michael what they were going to do about the safety of his wife. Unfortunately Michael had no answer. He suggested he do whatever necessary to save his wife. So he does. He called Christina to tell her he can get Scylla if she can offer his family protection.
Meanwhile T-Bag was busy harassing Sara while Michael and the General spoke. In twenty minutes, they agreed to meet and make the exchange. Scylla for Sara. Mahone gave Michael the case and he was on his way. Though in reality, Mahone was bringing the actual Scylla to Christina…or was he?
Back in Chicago, C-Note was walking with Sucre to meet up with who he’s working with. He told Sucre he’d recognize him. They are calling him “Paul” no…could it be Kellerman?
At the meeting sight, The General’s henchman found the Scylla case empty. The General told them they had to get back to headquarters. Meanwhile, it looks like Michael was going to climb a building with some rope. Apparently the front door was locked.
At the hospital, an impersonating doctor injected Self’s bag with something. Meanwhile Michael was busy still climbing the building. Just about as T-Bag was going to rape Sara, Michael stepped in, from his building climbing activities, and knocked T-Bag out.
All the while, Mahone was meeting up with Christina. He opened his case, where there was in fact, Scylla. Before handing over Scylla, he needed proof that his wife was safe. After a short conversation explaining that he can’t get everything he wants first, he handed over Scylla. Don’t lose hope yet, Michael showed Sara that he actually has Scylla. Mahone had the outer shell. It was Michael’s plan all along. They then embraced after he told her he knew about the pregnancy. We then learned that the “Scylla” Mahone had was really a bomb cleverly created by Michael.
On the road, Michael and Sara were talking about how their lives would be in the future. Of course it is a lovely life filled with butterflies and smiles. Mahone called Michael, the bomb didn’t go off. When Christina pulled him out to explain himself, he activated the bomb, getting him and Lincoln out of there.
When the General was about to kill Bagwell,T-Bag answered Sara’s cell phone when it rang. It was Sucre saying he can help. Again, the General cut T-Bag some slack, believing they could help locate Michael. When they met, C-Note took out the Company trained assassin keeping an eye on the two. They then took T-Bag hostage to find out where the General was.
Michael decided the one option they had left was to destroy Scylla. Michael then got a call from….Kellerman! Again I was right. Looks like all those ploys from Kellerman fan’s panned out, just like Sara’s death was faked. No one ever dies in this show. Kellerman was saved by the people working with Michael and Lincoln’s father.
At the hospital, Don was not dead, though he could not speak. He could only write, which also was not doing the agents that much help. At the same hospital, Mahone and Sara were there, currently trying to steal some medicine for Lincoln. Unfortunately Mahone was apprehended, while Sara got away with the drugs.
Sucre and C-Note were still torturing T-Bag. Currently by hanging him upside down, forcing blood to rush to his brain. Pretty soon, T-Bag would give the General’s location. So Michael went to see the General with Lincoln. The General took that time to explain that Sofia is in fact still alive, and he threatened her life. The man really wants Scylla. He told them that they are dead no matter what, but if he got Scylla in the next half hour, he’d let Sofia go. Just then C-Note and Sucre busted in shooting. They forced the General to let Sofia go. They then took the General hostage and left the premises. Though Sucre was caught.
While Michael, Lincoln, Sucre and C-Note were resting, Christina came in guns blazing. When she was about to leave, thinking no one was there, Michael stood aiming his gun directly in her direction. She tried to mind trick him into believing he can’t shoot her. When he tried to prove her wrong, his gun was out of bullets. Christina took this chance to shoot her son, but Sara intervened, and gunned down Michael’s mother.
When trying to get to Kellerman, a couple agents stopped Michael and took him with them. We then found out they were working for Kellerman. When they tried to run Scylla, there was a piece missing, because Michael wasn’t 100% ready to trust Kellerman yet. After all, Kellerman had been acting dead for several years. But after Kellerman spoke to Michael, he took out the missing piece, and connected it to Scylla, because he was tired of running. The missing piece worked. Kellerman told Michael everything would be over shortly.
At Headquarters, The General found a way to Houdini himself out of his handcuffs. He was about to bail, when the police barged in and placed him under arrest. At Kellerman’s place, Everyone was given contracts, which they signed, giving them all the freedom they deserve. Mahone was told his wife was safe, as well as Sofia and LJ. T-Bag of course said he deserved an exoneration. Kellerman left it up to them. Lincoln was the one to tell him he’s going back to prison.
While walking on the beach, Michael and Sara continued their conversation of their heavenly future together, that’s when Michael got another nose bleed… I’ve got a bad feeling about this.
Four years later, Mahone was dating his old partner in the force. Lincoln was with Sofia in their new shop. Sucre hugged his daughter. Don self was still in the hospital, brain dead. C-Note was living happily in his suburban lifestyle. Kellerman was a congressman, met by his old partner’s widow, she wasn’t all that happy with his success. The General met Lincoln’s original fate, the electric chair. T-Bag was in prison, with his new posse in Fox River. Sara was talking with her Son, whose name was also Michael. She told him it was time to see his father, that’s when they met up with Mahone, Sucre and Lincoln…to Michael’s grave. Where Lincoln left an origami crane.

Prison Break Season 4 Episode 20: Cowboys and Indians, S04E20 RecapMay 21, 2009 by Prison Break Blog | No comments
We open where we left off, Linc and Michael have been framed for murder. Cops are closing in on them and people are panicking all over the hotel. Michael tries to escape from the balcony, but the door is locked. So Lincoln, brain trust that he is, decides to SHOOT the lock off the door, thereby drawing more attention to themselves. Sigh. I just….I can’t…..I don’t know what to say.
Anyways, the boys run into the stairwell and the cops start chasing them. There’s running…..always running. A crowd has gathered outside and Mahone and Self are bitching that everything is going down the toilet. Which is true. Michael and Linc are now trying to evade the cops by hiding in the kitchen. Michael calls Mahone and brings him up to speed. Mahone wants Scylla, but Michael just wants out of the hotel. Michael is doing the Scofield Whisper x 20. It’s THAT serious. Self gets on the phone and tries to get Michael to leave from a loading dock, which is on the other side of the hotel.
Michael asks Self what’s outside of the loading dock (which would be some laundry carts) and in less than three seconds Michael comes up with a plan to escape using the hotel laundry. Yes, I know. It’s….I don’t know. Cliched? Anyways, Michael wants to take the ventilation system to the laundry room and then out to the loading docks.
Michael gives Mahone the address for the condo he and Sara are staying at. He says that Christina is being held there. Unfortunately, we all know that Sara is the worst kidnapper ever and Christina escaped her clutches in the last episode. Linc tells Mahone to do whatever he needs to do to get Christina to give up Scylla. Mahone agrees.
Yeah, so Pad Man knows all about the badness at the hotel, because the news has already identified Michael and Lincoln as Banerjee’s killers. Wow, that was fast. Pad Man thinks that Christina has screwed everyone over (true) and that if Michael and Lincoln get captured, they might tell the cops about the Company (unlikely, since the Company could still get to their loved ones). T-Bag wants to go to the hotel and straighten things out and then proceeds to give Pad Man his resume (gang leader in prison) to convince him that he’s the best man for the job. Pad Man thinks T-Bag isn’t qualified and sends one of his goons instead.
Michael and Linc get shot at by cops as they use a hallway to gain access to a stairwell leading to the roof. One of the cops orders a complete lock-down of every room in the hotel. And it couldn’t come at a worse time, because Michael was just trying to gain access to a room in order to get into the ventilation ducts.
Ah, turns out Christina has been busy…..her set-up included a wire transfer, which makes it look like China had initiated the hit on the Indian Prime Minister’s son. Downey enters her hotel room to announce that someone named Nandu wants to meet with her. Christina is upset that Michael got caught up in this.
Michael calls Self again, who says that cops are completely swarming the hotel. Michael tells Self to find out what their plan is. Now he’s yelling, so it must be even more serious. I gotta cut in here….wasn’t it announced at the beginning of Season 4 that Michael and Lincoln had been captured and were transferred to a supermax prison? Is no one thinking to themselves “how did they break out of prison AGAIN in order to assassinate that guy who just got shot?”

Prison Break Season 4 Episode 19: S.O.B., S04E19 RecapMay 21, 2009 by Prison Break Blog | No comments
At the warehouse, Lincoln and the boys were interrogating Sandisky some more. Continuing to ask where Christina or Scylla was, but he would not budge. Michael called Lincoln, telling him about the e-mails and telephone calls between Sandisky and Christina. Needless to say, Lincoln got pretty angry, and continued to interrogate him. Anger built up in his face, and he pulled a gun Sandisky. Before he could shoot him, The General showed up at the warehouse, taking over. He got upset at the gang for not turning in Christina as the one with Scylla. He interrogated Sandisky himself, and got the location of Christina. He told the gang they had one day to retrieve Scylla.
After his phone call with Lincoln, Michael called his mom, and asked for Scylla, and that there would be no meeting if Scylla was not present. After the opening credits, Christina showed up at a warehouse, ready to meet up with Michael. All that was inside was a tape recorder. Inside, they saw a car drive off, immediately, they thought it was Michael, and they could catch him, but Michael’s cleverness proved otherwise. He let a gas loose in her car, knocking them all unconscious.
Later, Michael sat in a room with his mother, asking where Scylla was. She didn’t have it, and wouldn’t budge when questioned.
Lincoln and the boys showed up at the address Sandisky provided them earlier. The apartment was empty. Mahone has a pessimistic hissy fit. Then they found an envelope marked “DMB” with a number on it. At the warehouse, Cranst was busy terrorizing Sandisky who currently was missing his pants. When he got a call from Lincoln asking what the letters DMB meant. He told them it was a local bank, and that the numbers were a safety security box.
Michael was upset that he couldn’t get anything out of his mom earlier, so Sara offered to talk to her. She walked into the room where Christina was currently in, when they then began to fight about who really knew Michael more, then Christina used her psychic abilities and told her Sara she knew about her pregnancy.
Lincoln and the boys showed up at the bank, flashing their Homeland Security badge to open a security deposit box. Then they told him someone had just visited the same box, and left with a silver briefcase. The boys then rushed after him, in a not-so-exciting car chase.
Michael cut his mother loose, and told her his final offer was to let her go, as long as she brought him to Scylla. Then….she told him Lincoln is not his brother! When she wouldn’t tell him where Lincoln was, Michael freaked out, and threw his mother to the ground, and dragged her to the tub, ready to drown her. She gave in, because she didn’t want her hair wet. She told him she needed to be in a conference, and that’s where he’d find Lincoln. After Michael left, Christina was left in the bathroom eyeing several household items, ready to make her own Maguiver maneuver.
Back at the warehouse, The general told T-Bag his work wasn’t done yet, when Lincoln retrieves Scylla, T-Bag has to shoot him in the head. Finally the car chase was over, and they were now running after him on foot.
When Sara heard a noise coming from the bathroom, she walked in, to see what the matter was. Turns out Christina overpowered her. Pretty impressive for an old lady.
Lincoln and the boys tracked the man carrying the briefcase to the hotel where they were having the conference. They found a rental van that they figured was Christina’s escape route. Lincoln ran into the conference just about when Michael was showing up as well. The rest of the team went to the van and checked it out, finding fake IDs meaning it was a set up.
At the conference, Naveen stood up to speak about Scylla, when a sniper quickly shot him down, and fled the scene, leaving the gun behind. Lincoln wasn’t far behind, looking very suspicious standing by the gun. Michael showed up as well, saying it was a set up. They stood in the killers spot for several minutes before fleeing as well.

Prison Break Season 4 Episode 18: Vs., S04E18 RecapMay 21, 2009 by Prison Break Blog | No comments
It is once again Friday, which means one thing, an all new episode of Prison Break. The show is inching its way to the series finale, this episode started off right off where last weeks left us. Lincoln was about to get blown away, but thankfully Don Self noticed the Sniper on the roof, and within seconds, Mahone was also on the roof. Pretty soon the sniper and Mahone were both dodging bullets. The sniper fled, with Mahone hot in pursuit.
At the bottom of the stairs, Lincoln met the sniper with a hard blow, knocking him to the ground. He asked where his mother was, but the sniper escaped once more, only resulting in him getting killed. Back at the warehouse, T-Bag wonders why they can’t just turn in Christina, since they know she is the one who has Scylla. Mahone and Lincoln explain that if they told The General Christina had Scylla, then they would be of no use to him, resulting in their death. The only way to ensure their survival is to retrieve Scylla.
Well, Michael and Sara made it to Miami, and decided to take refuge in Sara’s friend’s apartment. After talking for a while, Sara walks to the bathroom looking ill. She goes on to open the medicine cabinet, and she pulled out a pregnancy test. Is she pregnant? We’ll find out later in the episode.
Back to Lincoln, he figured the only way to find Christina is to first find who hired the sniper. While they were trying to figure that out, Lincoln got a text message from Michael to meet him. Lincoln wasn’t so quick to meet him, so Mahone met up with Michael instead. He told him that his mother is the one with Scylla, but Michael refused to help, because Mahone and the others are working for the bad guys. Michael and Sara went on to decipher the code left behind by the assassin last week.
So according to the sniper’s cell phone, Lincoln tracks his boss to the Indian embassy. To break-in to the embassy, they got T-Bag to create a diversion. To do this, T-Bag started rambling on about Elephants, and how Indians don’t treat them right. Who would have known that T-Bag was part of the Elephants Rights Movement? So while T-Bag has his one man protest, Lincoln, Mahone, and Self jump the wall. Good news for them, but bad news for T-Bag. Soon after they got into the embassy, T-Bag was thrown into the back of a van.
Inside the embassy, Christina was currently trying to sell Scylla to Naveen. She even made a pretty good pitch. While trying to sell Scylla, she was informed that a man named Sandinsky will be arriving shortly, and Lincoln was in the building. Obviously she and her gang bolted, after Naveen accepted the deal. Lincoln was able to get a hold of the note that said Sandinsky would be arriving. When they got back to their headquarters, T-Bag was sitting in the kitchen looking badly hurt. He was upset, to say the least, that the team was only able to get a post-it note, and not Elmer’s glue as well.
The code that Sara and Michael cracked led them to a parking garage where they found a car. They took the car, and noticed a briefcase in the car. Inside the briefcase a phone began ringing, when Michael answered, it was his mother. Also in the briefcase was a map that led to the airport, so reluctantly, they went.
At the airport, Sara creates a diversion, and Michael grabbed the flight logs. He broke into the flight traffic controller’s office, and forced him to land a plane at gun point. The same plane that Sandinsky was currently in. When the plane landed, Michael and Sara quickly grabbed Sandinsky and drove off. Only to be stopped by the Company. Just about when they were going to get caught, Mahone did an amazing job at sniping down the men, then taking Sandinsky for themselves.
Meanwhile, T-Bag began to get doubts that his team would be successful, so he called up The General, and told him about Christina, and how she has Scylla. When Lincoln and the guys question Sandinsky, he seems like a normal person who doesn’t know anything…but on the contrary, Michael stole his phone just before Lincoln took him, his phone was filled with conversations he and Christina had.
Sara went back to the bathroom, and took the pregnancy test out of her pocket…which was in there the whole time…and we see that it is positive…
